Beloved husband of Melba I. Ahlvers (nee  Grattendick); dear father of David (Laura) and Daniel (Pam) Ahlvers; dear brother of Betty Borders and Marlene Mitchell; dear brother-in-law of Lavern Grattendick; our dear  grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Ahlvers was member S.W.B.T. Pioneers and VFW Post #6137.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Rd., Thursday, October 12, 9:15 am to St. Mary Magdalen  Catholic Church (Kingshighway) for 10 am Mass.  Interment Sunset Cemetery. Contributions to the Missouri Botanical Gardens appreciated.  Visitation Wednesday, 4-8 pm.
