The Social Security office is notified when the death certificate is filed with the State of Missouri.
Social Security pays a survivor's benefit of $255.00 to a surviving spouse or an adolescent child. This benefit is sent directly to the qualified survivor. If you have further questions concerning Social Security, you may contact them at 1-800-772-1213.
The time it takes to get death certificates varies greatly on who is signing the certificate -Primary Care Physician or Medical Examiner.
Yes, we require a percent down, with payment options up to 48 months. No interest.
Yes, you can make a complete pre-arrangement with all your wishes stated and leave the arrangements unfunded. However, the cost of the services selected would not be frozen and would be subject to change.
A pre-arranged funeral with Kutis and be cancelled at any time with a full refund.
Certified copies of the death certificate are required for life insurance policies, car and house titles, stock/bond investment, land, and pensions.
An outer burial container is not required by law; however, many cemeteries may require a family to use this container if burial is request in their cemetery.
We recommend you use a local florist for you flower needs. Kruse Florist is a family owned and operated florist in the St. Louis area and would be happy to assist your family.
The ideal number of pallbearers is 6. Our funeral home staff can assist as pallbearers if we are needed.
Kutis can publish an obituary to our website at no charge. We can assist your family in preparing the obituary or you may email the obituary to us for publication. A photograph can also be posted with the obituary text.
We have staff in the building 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our office hours are 7 days a week, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
All honorably discharged veterans are entitled to full miliary honors. This consists of a firing volley, folding and presentation of the American flag and the playing of Taps.
Kutis Funeral Home owns their own crematory, located at 5255 Lemay Ferry Road.
