Baptized in the hope of Christ’s Resurrection Sunday, November 5, 2017. Beloved husband of Christine Appelbaum for 32 years. A wise and loving father of Matthew (Rebekah) Appelbaum; dearest grandpa of Katelynn and Elizabeth; loving son of Leonard and Maxine Appelbaum; dear brother of Kathryn (Stoy) Hedges and Lisa Appelbaum; brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Len had over 33 years in law enforcement, retiring with the Crestwood Police Department as Senior Detective.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Saturday, November 11, 2017, 9:30 a.m. to Assumption Catholic Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Assumption Catholic Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to  Backstoppers appreciated. Visitation Friday, 4-8 p.m.
