Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on  Thursday, March 8, 2018.  Beloved husband of Rosa  Cognata (nee Marino) for over 63 years; loving father of Ninfa Eva (John) G’Sell and Anthony  Cognata; adoring Nano of Angela (Levi) Cochran and Steven  Mayfield; special brother-in-law of Tommaso Alagna; our dearest brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Vito immigrated from Sicily, Italy in 1955 to create a better life for his family.  He was a very hard worker and avid gardener[] and was known as the South St. Louis Sno Cone Man for over 45 years.

Services:  Visitation at St. Mark Catholic Church (4200 Ripa Ave, 63125) on Monday, March 12 from 9 a.m. until Mass at 10 a.m. Entombment at Resurrection Mausoleum.  Masses  preferred or contributions to Alzheimer’s Association,  appreciated.  A KUTIS AFFTON SERVICE.
