Dr. Luangjamekorn, Verachai

 Dr. Verachai Luangjamekorn, was born on May 5, 1941 in Thailand and entered into rest on Thursday, June 12 at the age of 84.

Loving husband of Arpa Luangjamekorn (also married for 35 years to the late Jiraphaunt Luangjamekorn). Dear father of Julie Luangjamekorn, Nida (Chris) Luangjamekorn-Palmer, and Mena (Serin) Luangjamekorn-Phruttitum. Loving Grandfather ‘Kuntha’ of Dillon, Nate, Grayson, and Mila. Dear brother of 3 living brothers including Dr. Verasak Luangjamekorn and a sister Kuhn Oo “ Soi Ko” Luangjamekorn. Dear Uncle of Ja Jai, Ja Boem, Ja Yui, Ja Pan, Wasan, Jitt, Ayutt, Arnont, Prot, Konkanok, Poeng, Jieb,  Jamm, Errn,  Pimada, Kanchat, Opal, Nott, and Nick.

Cousin and friend to many including his wonderful fellow physician classmates and nurse spouses throughout the entire southeast Missouri and southern Illinois region.

Verachai loved to work in his garden and then cook, and prepare vegetables which he had grown for his family to enjoy. Everyone’s favorite is grappo gai chicken seasoned with his homegrown basil. He was a dedicated OBGYN Doctor in Dunklin and Pemiscot Counties in Missouri for more than 35 years.

SERVICES: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., Wednesday, June 18 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. with service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Services conclude at Funeral Home.

  1. Julie was a reliable and positive friend I met during college. She carried herself with intelligence, kindness, and integrity—qualities that speak volumes about the home she came from. While I never had the honor of knowing Mr. Verachai Luangjamekorn personally, I believe the character of a child is one of the truest reflections of a parent’s legacy. It’s clear he brought something good and lasting into the world through his family.

    My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to the entire Luangjamekorn family during this time.
