Dummerth, Edna V. (nee Frank)

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Robert A. Dummerth; loving mother of Dennis (Sandy) Dummerth, Diane (Jerry) Waller, Donna Dummerth, Denise (the late Peter Horvath) Dummerth, Daniel (Cathy) Dummerth, Dale (Eva) Dummerth, Danette Cristel and Darlene Rapp; adoring grandmother of 27; great-grandmother of 31; our dearest sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Edna served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as part of the W.A.V.E.S. She was a lifetime member of the St. Louis Service Women’s Post #404. She was a proud member of the All  American Girls Professional Baseball League, and was inducted in to  the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, on Friday, October 13 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Catherine Laboure for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment at J.B. National Cemetery. Masses preferred or say a prayer in honor of Edna. Visitation Thursday, 5-9 p.m.
