Finke, Carolyn S.

 

Carolyn Sue Finke, age 78, passed away on Thursday, November 23rd, 2017, surrounded by family.  Born in St. Louis to the late Frank C. and Augusta C. Kackley (nee Anderson). Beloved mother to her surviving children, John S. Finke, Tammy (Edward) Carmody, Jayne E. Finke-Armoneit, and Todd A. (Dianne) Finke. Cherished Grandmother of John B. Finke, Shelly E. Finke, Scott V. Finke, Kristen L. (Darren) Maas, Lauren M. (James) Tiffany, Madison R. Armoneit, Morgan L. Armoneit, and Dalton A. Finke. Much loved Great-Grandmother to Jamie Tiffany, Alison Maas, and Keira Tiffany.

Carolyn was a homemaker, as well as a Red Cross Case Worker. Retiring from the Red Cross after 16 years of service. During her retirement years, Carolyn enjoyed a life full of adventure! Traveling, bike riding, and cruising with her companion of 30 years, Earl Sindecuse. Together, they enjoyed spending time with their dear friends in Bridge Club, Book Club, and Beer Club. Carolyn was also a member of Unity Church in St. Louis.

The family would like to thank St. Anthony’s de Greeff Hospice House, and Hospice caregivers Mary and Regina, for the exceptional care and kindness provided.

We are full of the love that Carolyn shared with us, and we will cherish her memory always.

Service Information: Visitation Kutis Affton Chapel, Sunday, November 26, 2-8 p.m. and Monday, November 27 at First Unity Church of St. Louis, 9 a.m. until service at 10:30 a.m.
