In Loving Memory

Holba, Margaret Mary

Margaret Mary Florence Schulte Holba
February 14, 1932 – May 4, 2025

Margaret Mary Holba, age 93, of Arnold, Missouri, entered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Bethesda Southgate.

Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, Margaret was the beloved daughter of Joseph and Mabel Schulte (Gilmore) and the cherished twin sister of Madelyn Grace, also known as Sister Margaret Schulte.

Margaret was a devoted wife to her husband, Charles Holba, for over 50 years, and a loving, dedicated mother. She embraced her role as a homemaker with grace and joy, nurturing her family with boundless care and laughter. Her many talents and interests included baking the most perfect Christmas cookies, being a harlequin novel connoisseur, fearlessly tackling weeds in her garden, expertly solving puzzles, and playfully bending the rules in any card or dice game—usually to her advantage.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles, and her sister Madelyn. She is lovingly remembered by her sister: Marion Holba; four children: Margie (Bob) Chaney, Rich Holba, Joe Holba, and Betsy (Dave) Whitehead; five grandchildren: Bob (Lauren) Chaney, Ellen (Mike) Cusumano, and Theresa (Drew) Perryman, Debbie, and David Whitehead; and two great-grandchildren: Suzie and Colin Chaney.

Margaret will be deeply missed for her quick wit, her unwavering love for her family, and the light she brought into every room she entered. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, strength, and joy.

Services were privatley held with her loving family.
