Horton, Peggy

(née Carner), age 89, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Beloved wife of the late George L. Horton for 54 years; dearest mother of the late Carol Susan Horton, Sandra Kay (Daniel S.) Fowler, Steven Leslie Horton, David Brian (Angela D.) Horton; dear mother-in-law of Kimberly Ware Horton; loving grandmother of Justin (Julia) Fowler, Julie (John) Armengol, Jennifer (Andrew) Cooseman, Janell (David) Reeves, Krystina (Kasey) Smith,  Cassandra Horton, (and Matthew Dempsey); daughter of the late Walter and Linnie Carner; sister of the late Anita (John) Blow and Bernice (Elmer) Rethman. Peggy is also survived by nine great-grandchildren. Peggy was a dear mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many over the years.

Peggy had been a resident of Friendship Village since 2007.

Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY Chapel, 5255

Lemay Ferry Rd., Fri., Oct. 12, 8:45 a.m. until 9:15 a.m. prayer. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Fellowship with family to follow Fri. evening, Oct. 12 at Friendship Village Sunset Hills, 12563 Village Circle Dr. (63127) from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to American Lung Association Missouri, 7745  Carondolet Ave., Clayton, MO 63105.[]
