Passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Friday January 23, 2026.

Beloved husband of the late Sandra Kratz; loving father of Kim Machiran and Paul Kratz; dear grandfather of Rebecca (Joshua) Marti, Matt (Kayla) Machiran, Ben (Catherine), Elizabeth and William Kratz; dear great grandfather of Hailey Carmack, Liam Jurgensen, Isaac Marti, Joseph Paul and Sophia Kratz; dear brother of the late Alice Wack; dear uncle, great uncle and friend.

Mr. Kratz is the retired owner and operator of Superior Industrial Supply Company. He built his company from scratch through perseverance and hard work. 

Bob was known for his incredible work ethic, a trait that he passed along to his children and grandchildren. A loving and generous father and grandfather who was always there to provide for his family.

Services; Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois, Saturday January 31st, 10:00 AM until service 11:30 AM. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials to deGreeff Hospice House appreciated.

  3. Oh I am so sorry to hear that your dad passed.. he was such a sweet man and we were so blessed to grow up in our neighborhood with such great parents.. praying for Gods peace and comfort during this difficult time..

  4. Bob Kratz, For all of us that new and loved him I say you couldn’t find a better friend and neighbor. He and Sandy had their doors , lake and in town, open to us all for many years, memories of times together, what fun.

  5. Bob’s family, I remember Phil coming home after quitting his job, and saying that he got the job that had friends working there, that knew they were appreciated. Superior made life good for our family until Phil retired. He continued to enjoy a ride to talk to friends at Superior. I know this was personal to Bob but I want your family to know what an honorable man that Bob was. We appreciated him and his caring ways for his employees.
