In Loving Memory

Mason, Virginia F. (nee Pisarek)

September 23, 1938 - July 28, 2023

Virginia “Ginny” Mason, 84, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born on September 23, 1938, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Clara and John Pisarek.

Loving, kind, and always generous, Ginny is survived by her three children, Michael Mason of St. Louis, Shelley Jessen and her husband Jim of Columbia, IL, Kelly Dittmer and her husband Dave of St. Louis, sister Dolores Reynolds of St. Louis, son-in-law Damon Daher of St. Louis, and five grandchildren, Elle Hillier, Kyle Hillier, Ava Daher, and Eric and Emily Jessen.

She was predeceased by her brother Louis Pisarek, sister Theresa Seiler, brother Edward Pisarek.

Ginny’s greatest joy was her family and the time she spent with them.  She treasured family celebrations, holidays, attending her grandchildren’s school activities, graduations, talking daily to her sister Dolores, and watching her beloved Cardinals.

She was our “Go to Gal.”  Ginny wrote the book on how to be a domestic engineer, and not only loved it, but made it look easy.  Childcare, cooking, baking, fixing and cleaning anything with her secret formulas was her specialty.  She loved spending countless hours assisting family and friends in all these areas whenever they needed a helping hand.  She will be forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Our family thanks everyone for their support and prayers during this time.

SERVICES: A Celebration and memorial mass will be held at on Wednesday, August 9th at St. Mark Catholic Church; 4220 Ripa Avenue, St. Louis Missouri 63125 at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude or The American Heart Society.
