Meissner

In Loving Memory

Meissner, Colette A. (nee Gerdes)

Meissner, Colette A.

(nee Gerdes) Tuesday, February 19, 2019, Wife of the late Melchior Meissner; mother of Melanie (Mitch) Papciak,  Colleen (the late Keith) Hartupee, Christine Meissner and the late Daniel Meissner; dear grandmother of Chad (Jessica) Meissner, Corey and Jenna Papciak, Brian, Jesse, Luke and the late Jasmine Hartupee, Nicolette and Cole Schnettgoecke; dear sister of Gene (Rita) and David (Janice) Gerdes, Virginia (Sal) Dei Santi, Mary Alice (the late Stewart) McVicker and the late Ronald and Eugenia Gerdes; great grandmother to Michael, Brody, Max and Cash; dear aunt and friend to many.

Colette worked at AT&T and then retired from Finnegar’s Catering after almost 35 years as their Kitchen Manager.  She managed their St. Louis Meals-on-Wheels program among other things.

She will mostly be remembered for her kindness toward all humans, never meeting a stranger.  Her happiest moments are when she was dancing.  She loved being a homemaker, mother and caring for her children.  She was either smiling, laughing or telling a ‘funny’ to get you to do the same.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, Feb. 26, 10:15 a.m. to St. Agatha Catholic Church for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment J.B. National Cemetery. Visitation  Monday, 5-8 p.m
