William “Bill” Miller, 81, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was born on August 12, 1935 to Perry and Alta (Dressing) Miller in Saint Louis, Missouri. On May 21, 1971 he married Janet F. Buechel in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Survivors include his daughter Christine (Randy) Frantz of Edwardsville, IL and son Matthew (Amy) Miller of Sainte Genevieve, MO, and granddaughter Madelynn , as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Alta, sisters Helen Shepard, Adele Stabbs, Dorothy Tuttle, and Alta Bernard, and his wife Janet.
Bill joined the United States Army in 1958 and served until 1960 honorably while achieving medals in expert marksmanship and good service.
Bill went on after his military service and worked for 40 years as a union pipe insulator and remained as a proud member of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 1 for 52 years.
Bill will always be remembered for his love of his family but also his pride in his union and his work ethic.
Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Kutis Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 29. Funeral services will be at Kutis Funeral Home on Thursday, March 30 at 11:00 a.m. Bill will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Zion Cemetery.
