In loving memory of Jerry L. Moring of Mehlville, Missouri, who passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 79.
Jerry was born September 30, 1944, in Caraway, Arkansas to J.L. and Elnora Moring. He is survived by his partner: Debbie Buck; children: Michelle (Stephen) Einig and Jeremy (Michelle) Moring; four grandchildren: Peyton, Andrew, Avah and Elise.; Nicky Moring (mother of Michelle and Jeremy); brothers and sisters: Elaine (Steve) Johnson, Debra (Harry) Meyer, Linda (Gene) Higgins, Brenda Baynes, and Jeff (Kim) Moring; as well as many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents J.L. and Elnora Moring, brother Ron Moring and brother-in-law Johnny Baynes.
Jerry grew up in Barnhart, Missouri. He graduated in 1962 from Herculaneum High School. In 1962, at the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Airforce and was stationed in Evreux, France at the Evreux-Fauville Air Base where he served most of his term. Upon moving back to the United States, he began his career in the plumbing industry where he joined the local union. After 28 years of service, he retired from Local 562 in 2006. He spent most of his young adult life living in Maryland Heights, Missouri where he raised his two children with his wife, Nicky. Later moved to Mehlville, Missouri with his partner, Debbie.
All who knew him, knew that he loved camping and boating with his family and friends. Summers were spent on the lake, camping, fishing and skiing. He taught many how to waterski with great patience. He especially loved when his parents, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends got together at Clearwater Lake. He also enjoyed his later years spending time with friends at the Heatherbrook community pool. Jerry was a proud member of the American Legion.
Services: Visitation at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Wednesday, November 29, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
Debbie so sorry to hear of Jerry’s passing.. He is in a better place & no longer in pain. Karen & I send our condolences.
