In Loving Memory

Mumm, Howard William

Howard William Mumm passed away Friday March 22, 2019, born in St. Louis, MO 9/15/1920. He was the son of Edna and Harry Mumm, Sr, along with brothers, Harry Jr. (identical twin, deceased) and Donald. He graduated from Roosevelt High School, fought in WW II, earned a BS in chemical engineering from Washington University and spent his nearly 45-year career engaged in the printing industry.
He and wife of 49 years, Shirley, nee Heusler (deceased) is survived by four children, Sandra, Jeffrey, Debra and Ronald, eight grandchildren (Sarah, Laura, David, Erin, Cory, Cara, Olivia and Wesley) and eight great-grandchildren Brayden, Allison, Owen, Clayton, Gavin, Evan, Nora and Sara). Following Shirley’s death in 1993 Howard was remarried to Maria, nee Almeida until her death in 2014.
Howard enjoyed gardening, family get-togethers/picnics/vacations and helping family with home/auto projects and repairs and will be missed dearly.
Funeral Services: Kutis – Afton, 10151 Gravois, Monday April 1, 10:30 AM followed by 11:30 AM internment ceremony at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation (Kutis) Sunday March 31, 2-5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Every Child’s Hope or Shriners Hospitals for Children – St. Louis.
