Carolyn (Carrie) Elizabeth McNabb Poulette, 45, of Webster Groves, MO, died unexpectedly on August 12th, 2025.
Loving mother of Ella and Michael Poulette & Mary Grace McClure. Cherished daughter of Jeanne (John) Morrow and William (Susan) McNabb. Sister of Timothy McNabb, Daniel McNabb, Patricia (McNabb) Vinyard (Evan), Ricky McNabb, and Sara Morrow. Niece, cousin, and friend to many.
Though Carrie encountered many struggles later in her life, she always had a deep love for her family–particularly for her treasured children, Ella, Michael, and Mary Grace. Carrie grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri. She attended Annunciation Grade School, Nerinx Hall High School, and Missouri State University.
Throughout her life, you could find Carrie out seeking all sorts of adventures with friends and family. Carrie lived life profoundly and led abundantly with her heart, rarely seen without a smile on her face. Carrie was an athlete. She grew up playing basketball, soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, swim team–you name it–she even played ice hockey and softball as a young mother. She loved to be surrounded by nature. She camped, hiked, fished, water-skied, and rollerbladed. She loved music–from her very first concert seeing the Grateful Dead in 1995 with her parents and her brother Danny, to her last concert seeing the Dixie Chicks on a special mother/daughter/granddaughter night with life-long friends.
Above all, Carrie adored her children and was a doting mother. She loved sharing every ounce of life with them, going above and beyond for them when she was able. Always creating activities for joy and learning. She sang songs. She put love notes in lunch boxes. She did backflips on the backyard trampoline. She snuggled up for a lullaby and a bedtime story. Her happiest days were spent with her children. Carrie’s time on earth is over too soon, and our hearts are broken. We will carry her love in our hearts and hold her forever in our memories.
