I did not know Barb well, having only met her a handful of times. Nevertheless, she was important to me because she made my husband’s (Joe) work day brighter for over twenty-five years. They shared laughs, book recommendations, work frustrations, and supported each other through life’s ups and downs. After each had retired, they got together several times a year with a couple other retirees for coffee and pancakes at Uncle Bill’s. Joe spoke of her often. It was clear to me that she was smart, fun, caring and kind, as well as being excellent at her job.. I have always been grateful that Joe had such a partner at work. Rest in peace, Barb.
