Scherrer, Robert “Bob” Francis
passed away December 18, 2018, at the age of 87. He was the beloved husband of Joan (nee White) for 61 years, the loving father of Robert (Sarah), Steve (Janet), Mary (John) Dornhoffer, Thomas (Mary Alice), and Jeffrey (Leslie), and the doting grand-father of 16 grandchildren. Bob was an avid bridge player and enjoyed watching Jeopardy, solving the newspaper’s daily crossword puzzle, and assembling jigsaw puzzles. In his retirement, Bob volunteered at the St. Louis Zoo, Meals on Wheels, and St. Justin the Martyr Catholic Church. He was an avid animal lover and delighted in sharing his retirement with Toby, their Norwich Terrier.
Services: The funeral Mass will be held at St. Justin on December 27 at 10 a.m., with visitation at the church beginning at 9 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Justin or Cross Catholic Outreach.
