Beloved wife of John Schmees Sr. for 68 years; devoted mother of Cindy Shannon, Terry (Pete) Ostlund, Sandy (Peter) Allen, John (Karen) Schmees Jr., Rick (Windy) Schmees, and the late Debbie Schmees; adoring grandmother of Michael, Anne (Mark), Mary Margaret (Brandon), Grace, John (Andrea), Julie (Dan), Pete (Mae), James (Mary), Mary Pat (Mason), Christopher (Melissa), James (Heather), Nichole (Jon Jon), Natalie (Noah), Taura, and Tim; cherished great grandmother of 26; dearest daughter of the late James and Mabel Whelan (nee Schlotterbeck); loving sister of Judy (the late Buster) Brown and the late Kathy (Chuck) Shelton; our dear aunt, great aunt, sister-in-law, cousin, and friend.
Her family and friends called her Peggy. Faith, family, friends, home and helping others were her top priorities. Her strong Catholic faith radiated in all she did and spoke.

Memorial Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church (15 Forest Knoll Dr., 63026) on Wednesday, November 26, 9:30 AM. Inurnment at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
