In Loving Memory

Smith, Linda S.

Linda S. Smith, 76, of Chesterfield, Missouri, was called by God to her heavenly home on Monday, January 5, 2026.

Linda was born on March 3, 1949 in Arapahoe, NE to Vernon and Doris (Eland) Howard. She grew up surrounded by family and faith, values that guided her throughout her life.

Linda married the love of her life, Michael A. Smith, on June 9, 1972. Together they shared 50 years of marriage, building a life rooted in love, devotion, and family.

Linda’s greatest joy was her family and her hosta garden. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a proud grandmother “Mema”. She had a gentle strength, a generous spirit, and a natural ability to make others feel welcomed and cared for.  Her kindness and unwavering love will be remembered always.

Survivors include her beloved children, Eric J. (Nicole) Smith of Port Washington, NY, and Erin M. (Kurt Koprivica) Smith of Saint Louis, MO; her cherished granddaughters, Riley and Parker Smith of Port Washington, NY; Sisters Sandra Disbrow and Ronda (Rich) Carter of Omaha, NE; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Michael A. Smith; her parents; and other loved ones who welcomed her into eternal peace.

Funeral  service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Chesterfield, MO (corner of Baxter and Clarkson) on Saturday January 10th at 11:00am. Family will be available to greet friends 30 minutes before the service.
