In Loving Memory

Spitler, John A.

John Spitler was called to his heavenly home on Monday, June 23, 2025. The youngest son to the late Raymond F. Spitler and the late Violet Spitler (nee Schaefler). John is survived by his older brother Ronald (Jan) Spitler.

John moved back to the St. Louis area in the mid 1990’s after living in Miami, FL for over 19 years. He soon pursued a degree as a Horticulturalist at Missouri Botanical Garden where he retired several years later. In the earlier years of his life, John proudly served in the U.S. Airforce as a SSGT and eventually was stationed in Guam.

John was a beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Services: The family is having a private burial to lay John to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made in John’s memory to the Missouri Botanical Garden. KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY SERVICE.
