Stranglein

In Loving Memory

Stanglein, Deborah A. “Debi” (nee Newsom)

December 30, 1950 - December 4, 2025

Deborah “Debi” passed away on December 4th, 2025. She was the loving wife of Dan Stanglein, married for 52 years. Debi is the daughter of the late James “Jim” E. Newsom and late Voneita Irene “Bonnie” Newsom (Owen). She was the dear sister of the late James “Jim” M. Hall Jr. She had one daughter Paula L. Ormsby (Stanglein). She was a very loved aunt to Michael J. Hall, David Rose (Shana), Susan Yaeger (Drew), Jeffery Rose, and a dear friend to many.

Debi had a career in the cosmetic industry for almost 20 years. She owned several Merle Norman cosmetic studios in the St. Louis area. She was well liked by all of her customers and was always willing to help with anything they needed.

Later in her life she became a secretary for a business called Automation Technology Inc and that helped her spend more time with her family. After doing that for almost 20 years she decided to volunteer her time at Hazelwood West Jr/Sr. High School where her daughter attended.

After retirement she still spent time volunteering at the High School. She met many other parents there and made some new friends. When at home she enjoyed watching her St. Louis Cardinals on TV and playing card games on her phone.

Services will include a visitation on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton, 4pm-8pm, then the funeral will be on December 20th, 2025 at 10:30am with a burial following at Sunset Memorial Park and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in her name.
