Larry D. Steffen, age 77, of Imperial, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on January 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 16, 1948, Larry lived a life defined by hard work, kindness, and devotion to those he loved. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors.
Larry enjoyed lifting weights, spending time outdoors, and working around his home. After retiring from the family farm, he took great pride in caring for his property and tending to his pond.
Larry was married to his beloved wife, Rosalind (Blanchfield) Steffen, for 55 wonderful years. Together, they raised three daughters and built a close, loving family. Larry was immensely proud of his grandchildren and found great joy in playing outside with them and watching them grow.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Sada (Walton) Steffen, and his daughter, Laurie Lyn Steffen.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Rosalind Steffen; his daughters, Christina Helderle, Jennifer (Joe) Williams, and Melinda Steffen; seven grandchildren, Alex Helderle (Deanna Jones), Jacob Helderle (Sara Dirnberger), Austin Williams, Sophia Helderle (Camren Triplett), Owen Williams (Ava Mason), Annie Williams (John Reiter), and Jaxson Dewitt; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Bill (Cindy) Steffen; sisters, Linda (Bob) Usher and Pam (Dennis) Leach; and will be fondly remembered as a loving uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Services:
Visitation will be held at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville, MO 63129, on Wednesday, January 21, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, at 12:00 p.m. at the Kutis Chapel, followed by interment at Shepherd Hills Cemetery.
