Tinker, Lawrence “Larry” Fred

Lawrence “Larry” Fred Tinker died unexpectedly in St. Louis, MO on April 20, 2019 in St. Louis, MO at the age of 63. 

Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Allene “Polly” Brockman, his father, Fred Tinker, his sister, Katie Tinker, and his brothers, Mark Tinker and Phillip Tinker. He is survived by his brother, Chris Tinker and wife Terrie, sister, Vicky Sparks and husband James, step-mother Carol Tinker, step-sisters Carolyn Kozeny and husband Dan, Robin McLeod and husband Marc, wife Brenda Tinker, three children, Daniel Tinker, Brian Tinker and wife Robyn, Amanda Hensley and husband Josh, and his seven grandchildren Damion, Carter, Mason, Kiley, Sydney, Angel, and Hayes.

Larry was born on July 14, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Allene “Polly” Brockman and Fred Tinker. After serving in the United States Navy in 1973 and 1974, he married Brenda Tinker in 1975 and they have been happily married for 44 years. He worked at Jasper Engines & Transmission for the last 15 years. Larry was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather. Outside of work he liked spending time with his family, which included hunting with his son and grandson, traveling to Kansas City to visit his daughter and her family, and remodeling his home with his oldest son. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed taking vacations with his wife and friends. Larry looked forward to retiring and moving to Branson with Brenda in the coming years.  

A visitation is scheduled for the evening of April 24, 2019 from 4:00-9:00pm at Kutis Funeral Home in Affton. Graveside service is scheduled for 2:00pm at Seller’s Cemetery in Davisville, MO. The ceremony will be officiated by Terry Hoggard. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Larry’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Seller’s Cemetery C/O Geraldine Sellers 334 Sellers Road Davisville, MO 65456.
