York

In Loving Memory

York, Joseph W.

Wed., Sept. 27, 2017.  Beloved husband of the late  Marion B. York (nee Ruhl); dear father of Brenda Bergfelder,  Sherry (Ron) Nelson, Linda York and the late Carol (Orie) Fritts; dear grand-father of Joseph  (Alison), Kevin, Jeffrey, Dawn (Mike), Heather  (Garrett), Julie (Greg), Brittany and Tiffany; dear great-grand-father of 14; dearest friend of Pauline Fowler; our dear uncle, great-uncle and friend.

Joe, a true family man, dedicated his life to sharing his love, wisdom and Christian faith with those close to him. His source of pride stemmed from his service in the Army during WWII as a tank crewman and from his career with Roadway that allowed him to provide for his family. During his life, he spent many  happy moments playing golf, rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals and faithfully serving Christy Park Baptist Church. His happiest day was being reunited with the Lord and with family that  preceded him.

Services:  Funeral at KUTIS  AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Saturday, September 30, 12 Noon. Interment Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to The American Cancer Society or Honor Flight, appreciated.  Visitation Friday, 4-9 p.m.
