I was fortunate enough to catch Kerry just a few days before he passed. We talked for about an hour and his eyes smiled when we discussed: that recent trip to Australia and New Zealand; working “security” at the FedEx St. Jude Classic in Memphis; life at HBE working for the challenging CEO Fred Kummer; playing golf on Thursday nights at Creve Coeur Golf Course; Nancy’s dedication to music in church and the very fact that he beat the odds.
The good Lord called you home, Kerry. We are fortunate to have had you as a friend. You will be missed.
Kerry was a great person, I got to know him from the professional side at HBE and developed a long stating friendship from all the mutual friends and companies we had in common. We had many fun filled discussions and I know we will all miss his stories, his cheerfulness and his dedication to faith, family and friends. We know that he is now with our Lord and Savior, praying for his family and friend!!!
There was always something about Kerry that when he came up to you even if you were lost in your own thoughts once you saw his face – well he got ‘ya! Those who know him best will understand.
