Scheffel, Katharina  (nee Schaefer), Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, July 25, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Mathias Scheffel for over 58 years; loving mother of Ken (Carol) Scheffel, Heidi (Dale) Durham and  Linda (Pete) Heddell; cherished Oma of Jeremy (Angie) Durham, Kristin Day, Lauren (Darrick) Johnson, Whitney (Steven Garner) Scheffel, Kent (Stephanie) Koester, Austin Koester,  Tom Heddell, Christi (Stephen) Mueller, Tricia (John) Jabouri; great-Oma of Kennedy and Colby Durham, Delilah Day and Jakob Mueller; dear sister of Margaret (Knut) Heise and the late Elizabeth (Willi) Geiselmann and sister-in-law of Anne (the late Peter) Goetz; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Katharina was a long time member of the German Cultural Society.

Services: Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., on Friday, August 6 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass Sat., August 7, 9:15 a.m. at Queen of All Saints Catholic Church. Interment Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the German Cultural Society appreciated.
