Brooks, Sharon Ann

Sharon Ann Brooks, 68, of Festus died Mon. Oct. 25, 2021. Ms. Brooks worked as a tax accountant and held degrees related to her jobs at Ahrens and McAhren, Mallinckrodt Chemical, Sara Lee and CSI Leasing. She enjoyed many different kinds of foods, except beans, and loved to travel to Paris with her best friend, Michelle Bruns, and to Alaska with her old friend, the late Ann Marie Mueller. She had a lifelong love of animals, including her dogs, Rocky and Simon, and her late pets Jack, Lucky, Webster, Buster, Sky, Cindy, Henry, Bear, Fluffy, Duke, Zip and many more. She was born April 1, 1953, the daughter of the late Marco and Lucille Palazzolo and the stepdaughter of the late Howard Brooks.

She is survived by a sister: Mary Brooks-Valentine of Festus; a sister-in-law: Roberta Brooks of Salem; several nephews and nieces: Anthony Valentine, Michelle (Jeff) Valentine-Kelly, Leona (Kelly) Shuey, Tamra (Gabrielle Avalos), Tara Ellis, Jeanie Jennings, Jenny (Jason) Jennings-Watson and Ronald Brooks Jr.; her great-nieces and nephews: Patrick and Elaina Wilson, Brianna Valentine, Haley, Cameron and Aubrey Stevens, Ray Reeves, Makayla Brooks, Marissa and Jason Joseph, Veronica Avalos, Kay, Rosie,  and Jessica Jennings, Kim, Jason, Aaron and Emily Watson, Larry Ellis, Dale, Kaiden and Logan Poirier and Alyson and Alyssa Brooks; and two great-great-nephews: Michael Meek and Bastian Wilson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Randy Brooks and Ronald (Sandra) Brooks; and a nephew: Michael Reeves.

Services: Memorial Visitation will be held at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd. On Sat. Oct. 30, 3 p.m. until service at 5 p.m. services will conclude at funeral home.
