Randel L. Ries, born May 4, 1963, went home to the Lord on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 after a heroic and tough battle with cancer. Survived by his children Mary (Brad) Goodman, Connor Ries, Amy (Dylan) Splean and Kelly (Salih Mujicic) Ries and his former spouse, Ruth Laverty. He was loved by many and will be missed by numerous cousins, family members and countless lifelong friends, most especially Sue Wassler, Jim Bowe, Rob Berra, Jeff Diersen and Kirk Benjamin.

Randy was a hard worker and spent his professional career working in sales. His favorite place to be was at Bull Shoals Lake where he spent every summer fishing and boating through childhood to adulthood. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, golfing and was an avid sports fan. An Oakville High School graduate, he spent his early days playing soccer and hockey, went on to play collegiate soccer at Truman State University and then continued on to coach many soccer teams for his kids and participate in soccer leagues with friends. He loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball and was a diehard St. Louis Blues fan. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family, but his favorite role was that of PawPaw to Annora, Eleanor and Zoey. Randy was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed.
