In Loving Memory

Davis, Helen Virginia

Helen Virginia (Welsh) Davis, of Arnold, Missouri was born on June 08, 1929, and entered into eternal rest on March 04, 2023, at the age of 93.

Helen was the daughter of Daisy Lena Mae (Wilson) Welsh and Louis Welsh. Helen was married to Arnold E. Sullivan from 1949 – 1968 and to this union had two daughters, Donna K. Sullivan-Thomson (Nick Thomson), and Debbie Sullivan-Graff (Dave Graff). Until her daughters got a little older, she kept busy raising her family, sewing our beautiful dresses, canning, keeping us in First Baptist Church of Arnold, and PTA work.

When she decided it was time to add a career to her life, she took the real estate world by storm, first earning her real estate license, and then her broker’s license. She started with residential and then turned to commercial and was accomplished in each aspect of her chosen career. Helen never knew a stranger, and never forgot those depression years she grew up in, which helped fuel her success.

Helen married Cecil R. Davis on November 25, 1976. They were a great couple who loved to travel, bass fish, throw neighborhood parties, and simply made life fun. Cecil preceded Helen in death in 1986.

Helen leaves behind her daughters, Donna (Nick), and Debbie (Dave). Her grandsons, Michael D. Messmer, and Scott P. Messmer. Her great-grandchildren, Michael Messmer, Jr. (Samantha)., Morgan Messmer, and Scott Messmer, Jr. Her great-great-grandchildren, Bailey, Michael, Braden, and McKenzie Messmer. All of her many card and game-playing friends! She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral at KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd on Friday, March 10, 11 a.m. Interment Shepherd Hills Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday, 4-8 p.m.
