In Loving Memory

Sedor, Karen E. (nee Schepker)

Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at age 75. She was surrounded by her family at the end. Karen was born on June 27, 1947 in St. Louis, MO and was the daughter of the late William F. and Louise A. Schepker (nee Groner).

Karen married Steve Sedor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in November 1974. They were married 48+ years. She is survived by her two children – Stephanie Sedor (Chris Eichelmann) and Tina (Michael) Kaemmerer and had four grandchildren: Kaven and Severin Eichelmann and Mia and Alaina Kaemmerer.

Karen was the loving sister of Lee Ann (John) Ward, Debra (Graig Eldred) Schepker-Eldred, and Steve (Terry) Schepker, as well as sister-in-law to John (Rita) Sedor. She was a dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and friend.

Karen was born in St. Louis and lived in North City, going to Our Lady of Perpetual Help and then graduating from St. Alphonsus “Rock” High School. She later moved to South City in St. Louis when she married Steve. She lived on Goethe Avenue with Steve and the girls before moving to Germany in 1985. They lived overseas for 7 years before coming back to Goethe.

Karen was a creature of habit. She had weekly trips to Savers, the boat, and her bookstore. She could always be found at the back table reading a book, with the TV on in the background. Later in life, playing Slotomania would occasionally replace the book. She loved her “shows” and hated to miss them. The Tour de France was watched religiously every July.

Karen was deeply loved and we will all miss her terribly, even her nagging.
