Bailey, Beth Elaine

was born to Harold and Eleanor Klein April 30, 1959 at Southeast Hospital, Cape Girardeau, MO.  She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in May 1972 at Saint Matthew Lutheran Church, Westland, MI.  She graduated from Lutheran High School West in Detroit MI.  She graduated from Richland Community College in Decatur IL.  She was married to William Keith Bailey on April 13, 1985 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Decatur IL.  Their adopted daughter Emily Tara was for them a gift from God.

She has been a preschool aide at St. John’s pre-school for over 12 years and made many friends of both students, parents, and teachers.  She also was a volunteer in the school library and was active with other groups at St. John’s.  During her time at St. John’s she made a positive impression in so many lives.

She is survived by her husband Keith, her daughter Emily, her mother Mrs. Eleanor Klein of Jefferson City MO, her mother in law Verna Jones of Beecher City IL, father in law Bob Bailey of Ponca City OK, her sister Carla Bauer of Baltimore MD, her brother Joel (Debbie) of Sterling IL, her brothers in law Chuck (Beth), Tom, Richard and Rodger (Gena) Bailey and sister in law Robin Simmons.  Her nieces Melissa Klein, Mallory Shaughnessy, Jennifer Miller, Rikki, Brandi, Casianne, Brittany, Amanda, Frances, Jessica Bailey.  Nephews Andrew Wooddell and Daniel and Tyler Bailey. She has several great nieces and nephews,  extended family in OK (Kathy, Donna, Alex and Lisa), many cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation at Kutis So Co (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Friday 2/24 from 5-9PM. Then to St. Johns Lutheran Church (3517 Jeffco Blvd.) Saturday from 10AM until time of service at 11AM. Interment St. Johns Cemetery

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that gifts in  memory of Beth be designated for the St. John’s pre-school (3517 Jeffco Blvd. Arnold, MO 63010)
