Passed away on Monday March 23, 2026 at St. Agnes Home, in the loving care of dedicated staff and the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus. Loving wife of the late Jerome Henzler. Beloved mother of Carol (Ken) Underhill, James (Cortina) Henzler and Mark (Mary Kay) Henzler. Cherished grandmother of Courtney (Dale) Dickason, Grant (Elaine Sims) Underhill, Gerard (Anecia) Henzler, Philip (Laura) Henzler, Luke Henzler and Jacob Henzler, great grandmother of Jeremiah, Jedediah, Jane and Ellie. Dear sister of the late Kenneth (Surviving Linda) Blanner. Our dear sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.
Devoted to her Catholic faith, she was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Oakville, MO for over 50 years and was faithful to attending daily Mass at St. Agnes.
Sherry was a warm and generous soul, known for her unwavering kindness and endearing naiveté. Thoughtful in words and actions, she had a way of making others feel valued and was a true joy to be around, particularly in the company of family and friends. A loving and cherished role model, Sherry embraced many roles in life—daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother—always radiating benevolence and care. She will be missed.
Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, at Kutis-South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Rd., St. Louis. Additional visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, at St. Agnes Chapel 10341 Manchester Road Kirkwood, MO 63122, with the Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following at 1:00 p.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
