Beloved wife of the late John Schifko; loving mother of Linda (Greg) Fuchs, Kathy (Mike) Lankford, Stephen (Jill) and John Schifko; cherished grandmother of Laura (Danny) Wagner, Jennifer (Earl) Hodges, Kori (Evan) Paynic, Jesse Lankford, Lindsey, Steven (Carrie) and Leanne Schifko; adoring great grandmother of Madison and Logan Wagner; Seylah Paynic, Alden Schifko and soon to be Baby Boy Schifko; dear sister  of Ruth (the late Jim) Schuller;  our dearest sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Helen’s family wishes to thank the staff at Mary Queen and Mother Center and her hospice workers that cared for her.

Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON Chapel 10151 Gravois, Monday December 16, 9:30 AM to St. John the Paul II Catholic Church (4980 Heege Rd. 63123) for 10:00 AM mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to Seven Holy Founders St Vincent DePaul Society  https://www.foundersaffton.org/st-vincent-depaul-society or masses preferred. Visitation Sunday 3:00-7:00 PM.

  1. So sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. She was God mother to our son Todd. Remember how when she would come for his birthday she always brought a gift for his brother Jim. She was so thoughtful. Rest in God’s arms Helen.

  2. Linda, So sorry to hear of your loss. You mom was always such a wonderful, caring and loving person. When we were growing up she was always the “cool” mom, so young compared to my mom. I think about her often, especially when I drive past Harlan. She taught me how to make lasagna, and I remember every Labor day having lasagna and salad at your house. Fun times. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers. Dodie and Greg Stockmann
