Smith, Gloria

In Loving Memory

Smith, Gloria M. (nee Aparicio)

December 22, 1933 - March 19, 2025

Gloria Smith, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. She was the devoted wife of the late William D. Smith and the loving mother of Mark (Lisa Braun) Smith, James (Annette) Smith, and Denise (Shane) Coats. She was an adoring grandmother to Kyler (Lauren) Smith, Kelly (Rachel) Smith, Kathryn (Zach) Peak, William, Michael, Laura, and Caroline Smith, and a cherished great-grandmother to Eliza Smith and Goldie Peak. Gloria was also a dear sister to Lucille (the late Don) Carr and a beloved sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, and friend to many.

Above all, Gloria prioritized family. Some of her happiest moments were when everyone gathered at her house for a meal, particularly Thanksgiving, which she hosted well into her 80s.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the caregivers at Nazareth Living Center and to Karen Martin for their kindness and support.

Gloria’s warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.

Visitation at Kutis Affton Chapel 10151 Gravois Rd. 63123 on Monday, March 24 from 4-8 pm. with a Remembrance Service at 7:00 pm. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery will be held in private.
