On Wednesday January 10, 2024. Loving husband of Helen Abernathy. Beloved father of Karin Abernathy, Amy (Donald) Sladek, Donald Abernathy Jr. and Christen (Edward) Coffman. Cherished grandfather of 16, great grandfather nof 2. Dear brother of Gerald Abernathy, Sharon (Chris) Cox and the late Mary Jean McCarthy. Our dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Services; Funeral at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Tuesday January 16, at 10AM. Interment JB National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of your choice or your local food bank appreciated. Visitation Monday 4-8PM

  1. I’m so sorry, Sharon! He was a good man, and I remember a great little boy. I lost my brother in 2020 and haven’t felt the same since. I miss him terribly. I’ll be praying for you and your family.
