In Loving Memory

Adams, Carole J.

Carole J. Adams died unexpectedly on Sept 16th at the age of 73 at her home in Arnold, MO. Carole was a devoted wife to Ron and a loving sister, mother, and grandmother to her five grandchildren. Carole loved traveling the world, having lunches with her Beach Babe friends, playing cards and Rummikub with her husband, friends and grandchildren, wandering around Goodwill to “find a deal,” and sipping on margaritas on her veranda.

Carole and Ron enjoyed over 27 years of marriage together. They loved game nights with their friends, dancing, and doing many projects around their home.

Carole is a retired teacher of the Fox C-6 School District where she taught 3rd thru 6th grade at Seckman Elementary for 26 years. She was a member of the Restless Legs Foundation which was very important to her. She suffered from this disease on a daily basis which ultimately gave her the nickname of “Wiggle Butt.”

Carole had a zest for life that took her to many places around the globe. She has been to five continents, explored 26 countries, and almost completed visiting all 50 states (missing Oregon and North Dakota). One of her recent adventures was to Egypt which was a destination on her bucket list.

Carole was a strong-willed woman who looked out for the people closest to her heart. She was always a listening ear and gave the best “mom” advice and guidance. Carole believed everyone should be loved in this world and wished for equality in all areas of life and for everyone to be accepted for who they are. These characteristics and her zest for life will be greatly missed!

The family would appreciate donations in lieu of flowers to the Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation. In place of a traditional service and in accordance with her wishes, the family is hosting a Celebration of Life event that will be held at Ferd B. Lang Park (Birch Pavilion) on Friday, Sept. 25 from 5-7 pm.  A meal will be served.

  3. I’m so sad to hear of Carole’s passing. She was truly a beautiful woman inside and out.
As a parent of one of her students she made her students soar. As a co worker she always had a smile on her face.

  5. Carole was a wonderful person and teacher, but more importantly, a great friend and co-worker. I loved working with her for many years, and will cherish those memories.
