  1. My name is Joanne Callahan and I had the privilege of being in pastoral care at Mercy Acute rehab and father Tom Bryon came every single Sunday after he had the 9 o’clock mass at big Mercy hospital. He came to Acute rehab and had the Sunday mass and gathering area upstairs and after the gospel he anointed every person who wanted it he was always completely faithful to the gospel and preaching, and he unfolded every patient and family in healing and love ! He was , “ Caritas, he embodies Our Lord’s presence and abundant providing !
When my husband was ill, Father found us at SSM rehab on Sunday and visited and anointed him. It was a grace because my husband Dr. Joseph Callahan was that faithful to his patience, but it was always a gift when someone surprised us was such abundant care in the day that Joe was dying. Father found an anointed him again at Big Mercy Hospital, so I can only say if there was anyone walking this earth and living the life of Jesus it was father Tom Bryon, and I will always be grateful for his service to everyone that I knew and served and loved. Maybe he unfolded in God‘s eternal love and we celebrate this risen life this week. I am so grateful I could put this in writing for all to see because we give witness to God’s faithful love and Father Tom did that!!!!

  2. Daniel, Katie, Vincent, Sally, Maggie, Ted with Patrick and Maureen in heaven,
Please accept my prayerful condolences. With gratitude for the many family reunions, visits, wakes, weddings and so many other wonderful encounters with last year’s Ann’s 100th, discovering joy, a giggle, hope through tragedies, friendship, accompaniment, and addressing many “why’s.” No doubt Ann is at peace and filled with gratitude for each of you and the many family remembers, cousins, friends and the most wonderful and loving care from the Sisters and Caregivers at St Agnes. Ann always remarked how she felt the care she received was heavenly in nature.. Her friendship with my Mom and the monthly cousins’ lunch deepened the joy and fun shared during the fun stories and challenges of the past. Ann was grateful for her children and would at times express worry or concern about her children if she did the best for them, I always assured her, she did the best she could and any less than best we prayed for the best for them now. Her awareness of work issues and gratitude for her faith blessed all. May we spread her joyful love and care for others the best we are able to.
    Peace,
    Gregory
