Katheryn-Albert

In Loving Memory

ALBERT, KATHRYN “KAY” MARIE

KATHRYN “KAY” MARIE ALBERT

St. Louis County – Kay Albert, 98, of Affton, MO, passed away March 14, 2019 after a short bout with pneumonia at Mary Queen and Mother Center on Watson Rd.  Visitation / Memorial is at Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO, Saturday April 6, 1:00-3:00 pm.

Kay was born March 29, 1920 in St. Louis, MO daughter of Carrie Adline Taylor and Vern Lee Carter.  She had one older brother, Vern Lee (Florence Maxine) Carter, Jr. who predeceased her.  She married Irvin Louis “Bud” Albert Oct. 2, 1943 St. Louis, MO. who died on Oct. 23, 2004 in St. Louis, MO.

Kay was always fashionable and loved, more than anything else, to socialize.  She also took great joy in giving things to others.   She had friends, and made friends, everywhere and, especially later in life, she was very accepting of everyone no matter who they were.

Kay is survived by her son, Dennis Lee Albert of Affton, MO, with whom she became very close in her last few months and three Albert nieces, Mary Louise (Bryan) Nicholson, of Weston, MA; Barbara Jean (Gene) Ragsdale of Dover, AR; and Patricia Lee (Randy) Bailey of Tulsa, OK.; and Kathleen Marie (George) Andrews of Russellville, AR (deceased).  Kay outlived most of her contemporaries but she made many younger friends who will morn her loss, including Jeannie and Jay Shipp and the Sutterfield children
