Two things in life that kept Alice busy and she loved dearly were her family and her Catholic faith. Although never married, she was a “second mother” to many nieces and nephews. She was always there to babysit when needed and the kids loved spending the night with her, especially since she had a house stocked with donuts, cookies, cakes and Ice cream. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays no matter what birthday it was. When she was younger, she always made the kid’s favorite birthday cakes, whether it be chocolate cheesecake, vanilla cake with mock whipped icing or whatever the trendy cake was at the time. She also made the best most tender roast beef and gravy for Christmas Eve, that to this day, no one has ever been able to re-create. Alice loved spending time with all of her family members, especially going shopping, going to the movie theatre and going out to eat. She always had a smile and laugh that could brighten anyone’s day.
Any time not spent with family, was spent with her many friends of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church which eventually merged into St. Mark Catholic Church. She was very active over the years as a Eucharistic Minister and always participated as a member of the Ladies Guild and the 50 Plus Club. She loved working the Fall Festival and Country Kitchen booth.
Heaven has gained an Angel, and she will now be the Guardian Angel for all her family members and friends still here on earth.
A KUTIS SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL SERVICE.
What a beautiful note about Alice. I will miss seeing her weekly at the salon, along with the many friends she made there! Blessed to call Alice my friend for so many years. Heaven gained another sweet angel! She was blessed to have Mark & Cathy who took such great care of her and included her in all the family outings.
Hugs to her family and friends.
