Archambault

In Loving Memory

Archambault, Janet C.

Passed away on Saturday December 6, 2025. Loving wife of the late Andrew Archambault. Beloved mother of Debra (Chris) Selinger, Ronald Archambault, Shelley (Mike) Reese and the late Phillip Archambault. Cherished grandmother of Dylan, Alexander, Nicholas, Robin, Holli, Michael and Stephanie. Dear sister of Ronald (Peggy) Petersen. Our dear aunt and friend.

Janet began her working years as a bookkeeper at First State Bank in Wellston, but in 1973 she followed her dreams to cosmetology school in hopes of providing a better life for her family. Her warm spirit, quick wit, and ever-present smile made her a natural fit for the profession. She later became a co-business owner with her mother at Classic Designs hair salon, where her joyful personality brought laughter to clients and coworkers alike.

Always eager to give more of herself, Janet continued her education and earned her Esthetics license in 1982, finding great fulfillment in helping others care for their skin and feel their best. After Classic Designs closed, she worked at The Face & Body and Salon Linda G before retiring to lovingly care for her husband, Andrew. The two even shared a paper route for two years—a job that allowed Janet to keep a watchful eye on Andrew while playfully helping him feel like he was “working,” a story she told often with her trademark humor.

Janet later came out of retirement to become a cosmetology and ultimately an esthetics instructor at the National Academy of Beauty Arts, where her upbeat nature and generosity shaped the lives of countless students. After retiring a second time, she continued to give back by volunteering with several organizations. Her favorite, by far, was serving at a pregnancy clinic, where she found deep purpose in counseling young women and hoping to “save the babies.” She cherished every mother and child who walked through the door and considered these moments the highlight of her day.

Janet’s greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She doted on them often and was sure to always be present at sporting events and school functions.

Janet’s life was a reflection of her heart—funny, happy, endlessly giving, and always ready to brighten someone else’s world.
