Arnold-crop

In Loving Memory

Arnold, Vernon  M.”Popeye”

It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Vernon Arnold, our loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all whose lives he touched, on March 28, 2021. He left this life peacefully surrounded in his home by those he loved. Veron was born on October 31, 1932 in Fredericktown, Missouri, truly a treasure from a greater generation. There wasn’t a story he couldn’t tell, a joke he couldn’t crack, a smile he couldn’t make shine. “Popeye” served his country in the National Guard and later the US Army. In fact, “serving” is what Veron did above all else. Serving Our Lord Jesus Christ, Serving our Country, Serving the community through various Church Missions and charities, and Serving as the Patriarch of a great family he guided. Popeye leaves behind but lives through: his loving wife of 65 years Gerry Arnold, three children and their spouses Cindy (Ken) Janssen, Renee (Rob) Sanazaro, and Billy (Tracy) Arnold, 8 Grandchildren, and 13 Great-Grandchildren. This is not goodbye, merely Vernon passing the great divide, a Hero returning home to our Lord.

Services; Visitation at Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Tuesday 3/30 from 11AM until service at 12. Interment Lakewood Park Cemetery.
