  2. By coincidence, on November 17, 2014, Jerry and my path crossed. Jerry was truly an honest, selfless good man. My family and I fell in love with him, as he did with us. He became a father figure to my children and their children. We are all grateful for having Jerry in our lives and will always cherish all the wonderful times we shared. God love you, Jerry, and may you rest in peace.

    • Thank you for the kind words, Maria.

I’ve only met you once at my father’s funeral and I rarely talked to Uncle Jerry but it was obvious when we met that you meant a lot to him.

Thank you for stepping up and being his help meet during a time in his life when it would be easy to walk away to avoid the trouble and heartache.

Thank you, as well for managing his affairs.

      Les Heitman, nephew
      (Raylene’s eldest son)

  3. Jerry, you will always be missed!! You were part of our original Gathering Place group, as our brother in Christ. We gathered around the harvest table and shared many a meal together. You were always a humble, steady, rock. I know you are in Heaven now, and can breathe with ease, with restored lungs!!!
My sincerest sympathy and condolences to your adopted family, Maria, Joe, Kim, Christopher, and grandkids. I know how much you meant to them, and I know their hearts are aching, missing you.😞
I pray for God to wrap His loving arms around them and give them comfort and peace in the knowledge that you are now free from suffering. May they find joy in the happy memories you shared.
    I love you,
    Kristin

  4. Prayers for peace and comfort for all those who knew and loved Jerry. What a wonderful man he was! Jerry was very special, always up for a chat by phone, an errand, project, or adventure with Maria and her family, fishing in Rosati with Joe, and many a celebration with our close-knit group at the Gathering Place. We fondly remember the many happy times all of us spent together eating grand meals while celebrating birthdays and holidays, gathering for Bible study, or partying just for fun. Rest in Heaven with no more ails, Jerry. We truly love and will miss you.
