Phyllis was always so friendly and always had a smile and we’ve stayed in touch. She and her sister Barbara were going to go on one of my Group Trips and had to cancel because of health reasons.
One of my remembrances is that several of us girls worked together at the Federal Government when Phillis was pregnant with Aaron. We each took a block and embroidered it and them put all the pieces together for a baby quilt. She so appreciated it. I also remember we were both Contract Specialists at the time and several times some of the Contractors would get us mixed up. We were close in age and both had the same short hair cut. One of the Contractors asked me when my baby was due. They confused me for Phyllis and I wasn’t pregnant. I’ll always remember her.

We miss you so much. When we moved into our home David and Phyllis were so welcoming and Phyllis loved playing with our dog Bella and Bella could not wait to see her. Thank you Phyllis for being so loving and kind to us. You are a very special person and God is welcoming you home with open arms.
Our prayers and thoughts are with your family

I met Phyllis while interning for Defense Mapping Agency. I worked in the Contracting Office. That being my first job I was welcomed by so many. Majority of office workers were women and I considered them to be a 2nd mom to me. I will never forget Phyllis’s sense of humor and her laugh was contagious. We became good friends and would get together outside of work. Her step daughter, was a Junior Bridesmaid in my Wedding. I was just about to reconnect with her before the Pandemic hit. I so wish I would have had that opportunity to reunite with such a wonderful person and friend. Until we meet again dear friend. Prayers to her family.

Phyllis and I were best friends in high school. She was even my maid of honor in my wedding. We lost contact with each other many years ago. I have thought of her from time to time over the years. I was listening to 60s music the other day which made think of her. I don’t know what compelled me to try to find her, but something did and of course, I found her obituary. I didn’t know she was married, so at first I wasn’t sure this was the correct person, but when I saw her picture, I knew it was her. She still had the same smile. We had a lot of fun together in high school and I will always remember her. My sincere condolences to her family. I will pray for them.

So sad to read of the passing of my friend, Phyllis. We worked together in Contracting at NGA – Phyllis was brilliant, hard working, and joyous. She took great pride in her work and family, and I visited her several times after having left the area. She loved her dogs and treated them with love and kindness. I loved our time together due to Phyllis’ kindness and warmth. Phyllis was a true friend and trusted confidante. Her wisdom and wit were endless. She truly touched the lives of those she met in life on earth, and I’m truly blessed to have spent quality time together. Please accept my condolences.
