In Loving Memory

Barry, Michael P.

Michael “Mike” Patrick Barry passed away into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, October 23. Mike was born April 24,1942 to Thomas and Cecilia Barry in St. Louis. He met the love of his life in 1959 at a Teen Town dance when a young lady named Jane (nee Kreft) asked him to dance during Ladies Choice. They were married on November 30, 1963, spending 60 fun and adventure filled years together. Mike played rugby as a young adult, coached youth and club soccer, found fulfillment in serving as President of the Missouri Rugby Football Union, and Athletic Director at St. Andrew’s Parish. Mike worked at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace for 33 years as a Production Control Engineer. After retirement, Mike spent his days enjoying his family, friends and a good book. Mike was a beloved brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend. Mike, an Irishman in his soul, lived life fully, listened with an empathetic heart and was loved by all who knew him.

Mike is survived by his wife, Jane, children Thomas (Jill) of Richmond Heights, Patrick (Carol) of Macungie, PA, grandchildren Emily (Ben) Brown, Ryan, Will, and great-grandson Ezra.

Services: A visitation will be held at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 29, from 10 a.m. until a Celebration of Life Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to: Poor Clares of the Immaculate Conception (200 Marycrest Dr. St. Louis, MO 63129)
