March 5, 1940 - December 29, 2023

Passed away on Thursday December 29, 2023

Beloved wife to the late Richard “R.C.” Bartholic; loving mother of Craig (Lisa) and the late Lesley Bartholic; dear grandmother to Kate (Nathan) Rose, Sarah (Megan Reel)  and Paige (Steve) Scott; dear great grandma to Max, Abby, Collins, Crew and Benson; loving aunt and friend to many.

Gayle’s greatest joy was being with family.  She also was a true St. Louis Cardinal Fan and had a passion for animals.  Gayle worked in the fashion jewelry department at Famous Barr for 40 years.

Gayle’s beautiful smile and infectious laugh will be remembered by all who knew her.

Services:  Kutis Affton Chapel. Visitation 4 pm to 8 pm on January 4, 2024. Funeral January 5, 2024 at 11  am.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Stray Rescue of St. Louis, 2320 Pine Street, 63103 appreciated

  2. We met thru the loss of our children. She was a treasured friend and we saw each other at least 2 times a year. I will miss her friendship and her laugh.

  4. Spent many years working with her at Famous and Macy’s. . Will miss her and our getting together to play Mexican Train. She was a wonderful and caring person.

  5. I will always have fond memories of my friend Gayle. She was like extented family to me. She was fun and kind and thoughtful to everyone. We shared a love of animals (especially dogs). She will be missed.

  6. Gayle was the best sister-in-law anyone could ever hope for and always made my day better when I talked to her and heard her laugh.
    Heaven has another angel and she is smiling at Dick who is probably BBQing for everyone there.
