Barton, James C.

James C. Barton, 83, passed away January 16, 2018 at his home in Affton MO. with family by his side.

James was born September 11, 1934 to Levi and Gladys Barton in Paragould, Arkansas.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years Glenda Fay Barton married JUNE 27, 1957.

James is survived by his loving children Wayne and Chris Barton and Timothy Barton.

He was preceded in death by his daughter Mary Ann Barton and son William Barton.

He was a loving grandfather to Jeremy and Courtney Barton, Brian and Gail Barton, Brad and Laura Barton, Michael and Shauna Barton and Holly Renee Barton.

James was also a loving great-grandfather of Taylor and Brian Loethen, Theresa Barton, Teagan Barton, Brandon Hensley, Emma Barton, and Everett Barton.

He was also a loving brother preceded in death by sisters Mary Kirkendall, Margie Allen, and Barbara Cox also by brothers Lonnie and Johnny Barton. Survived by sisters Peggy Hager and Alice Toliver.

One thing was for sure James loved his family. He would bend over backwards for anyone. He was honest, kind yet tough, loving and caring, had an infectious laugh and a great smile. He always stood up for himself as well as others. He was a man that stood for what was right.

He was also one of the biggest St. Louis Cardinals fans in Cardinal Nation.
