Basler III, Eugene “Joe”

36, passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Tuesday, January 11.  Joe was born to loving parents Nancy and Gene Basler, Jr. on June 14, 1985.

Joe is survived by his loving wife Betsy (Kehlenbrink) and daughters Lucille Josephine and Charlotte Mae, loving sister Christine (Vaughan) and brother-in-law Christopher (Vaughan).

Additional survivors include nieces and nephews Lucas and Liana Vaughan, and Jackson and Ellie Kehlenbrink, Grandmothers Brenda Basler and Lucille Drury.  Joe was preceded in death by his Grandfathers Eugene Basler and Ralph Drury. Also survived by a multitude of aunts, uncles and very special cousins and friends.

Joe was a graduate of Vianney High School and the University of Missouri-St. Louis.  Joe was a dedicated employee and cherished his Mungenast Automotive family.

Always the life of the party, Joe’ infectious laughter and smile brightened every situation and brought joy to those around him.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Services:  Funeral from Kutis Affton Chapel, 10151 Gravois, Tuesday, January 18 at 9:30 am to Seven Holy Founders Catholic Church (6737 S. Rock Hill Rd.) for 10 am Mass.  Interment at Sunset Cemetery, Visitation Monday, January 17, 4-8 pm.
