John Henry Bauer was born on September 29, 1933 in St. Louis to Henry and Agnes (nee Marty) Bauer, and entered into rest on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at the age of 92. Loving husband of 52 years to the late Rose Marie Bauer (they were married on Valentines Day!) Dear father of John W. (Fran) Bauer, Karen Bauer, Gary (Carolina) Bauer, Denise Bennett, and Jeffery Bauer. Loving grandfather of Nick, Diana, Denise (Gary) Voss, Timothy Blissenbach, Tricia, Blade, Zaron, Kiya, Jonathan, Kathryn, Jacob, and Hanna. Dear brother of George (Rayola) Bauer, the late Shirley Genzler, Margaret (George) Isbell, Delores (Alan) Staats. Dear brother-in-law of Tony (Jackie) Knittig, Roger (the late Dorothy) Arnold, Theresa (Bill) Luther, late Bill ( late Bernadine) Knittig, late Allen Knittig, and Ray (Cindy) Knittig. Dear great papa, uncle, cousin, and friend of many.
John was an avid bowler who also enjoyed playing scratchers and going to the boat!
SERVICES: A VISITATION will be held on Thursday, March 5 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at Kutis South County Funeral Home.
FUNERAL SERVICE will be Friday, March 6 at 8:30 am. Burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
