Passed away on Friday, March 27th, 2026.
Born February 17th, 1962 to the late Charles and Dorothy Baumann (nee Langridge); Curtis is survived by the love of his life, Pat Sovanski; he was a devoted father to Brandan Baumann; loving brother of Angie (John McDonald) Penberthy; cherished uncle of Tyler (Kelsey, Auriella, and Easton) Penberthy and Justin (Amber Nguyen) Penberthy; beloved step-father to Rick Sovanski; our dear cousin and friend. He also leaves behind his beloved feline children, Tandy and Tater, along with many other stray cats and deer of the backyard.
Curt earned a BA from UMSL in Business Administration and worked in retail then the mortgage industry up to his retirement in 2024. He was devoted to home and lawn care, enjoyed watching the stock market, playing golf, and especially traveling with his son to various sporting events. Curt will be missed for his care over his family and clever sense of humor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made to the Humane Society of Missouri are greatly appreciated.
SERVICES: Visitation at KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL (10151 Gravois Rd., 63123) on Wednesday, April 1st, 4:00 – 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 2nd, 10:30 AM at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
